It was the Summer of '69

the hot summer sun is really intense today:

which got me thinking about the good luck that comes with central air-conditioning. summers in kansas were really hot growing up, and i spent much of the day outside at camp, dissolving into a puddle:

but then i'd go home, and before my parents got there, i could strip down to my swim suit, crank up the a/c and get really cold:

so cold in fact, that i would need to get a couple of heavy blankets to wrap around myself:

and that's how my parents would find me. bundled up, blasting a/c and eating ice cream:

if only i had central air conditioning here! then i could REALLY contribute to global warming.
